Saturday May 30, 2009

The biggest pickwick is 3 1/4". One of the neatest things I found (although I do love the pickwick) is this hand axe that's about 5" long and almost perfectly rectangular. It's got some really good edge work, couldn't get the pics to take good indoors.

Today

Nothing but brokes today, with the exception of one that I later realized that the two pieces fit together.

Yesterday's Field Finds

I went to a field with a friend of mine yesterday afternoon. I was really happy with the Kirk Cornernotch I found. But after I got home and cleaned up the red point, I noticed all the black speckles in the material. Can't say I've ever found any material like this before.

Pickwick Restored

This is the pickwick that I found about a month ago. I sent it off to Gomer and got it back today. Quite pleased with the results, measures right at 4 1/2" long restored. Just a portion of the tip was missing and one ear was missing.
